Melvyn Watton Retires

Melvyn has retired after 36 years with the company where he first started in the despatch department, later moving to take over production control. His extensive knowledge of the castings we made and “where we might find the old patterns” was invaluable. His extensive list of excuses as to where a customer’s castings might be and the reasons for the delays were legendary and he awaits a publisher taking the rights and a Hollywood film to follow. Having met his second wife Sharon at Siddons the connection with the company will no doubt continue for a few more years.
